This incredible journey is about far more than skateboarding. Every mile Matthew travels represents resilience, perseverance, hope, and healing. His mission is to break the stigma surrounding mental health by encouraging honest conversations, reminding those who may be silently struggling that they are not alone, and inspiring them to keep fighting. At the same time, his journey shines a light on the incredible strength, courage, and determination of burn survivors, honoring their resilience while raising awareness and support for their ongoing recovery.
Funds raised throughout this journey will directly benefit Building Bridges for Brianna and Healing Phoenix Arts, two nonprofit organizations committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of others. Donations will help expand mental health awareness, suicide prevention initiatives, support services, and programs that provide hope and healing for individuals, families, and burn survivors.
Through every mile, Matthew is proving that even life's greatest challenges can be overcome with hope, community, and the belief that every life matters.
